As a first-time WWDMAGIC blogger, day one at MAGIC MARKET WEEK was a complete whirlwind of beautiful fashion from head to toe. When you walk the WWDMAGIC hall at LVCC you are immediately inundated with bright colors and trendy womenswear from brands you've heard before like BCBGeneration and Chinese Laundry, and brands that you might know but not by name. It's the place to be if you want to get to know more about up-and-coming designers that are both local and worldwide.

Some of my favorite pieces from day one came from Los Angeles based brand, JOA. Boxy top silhouettes and floral patterned trends were seen throughout their collection. Patterned two-pieces were also all the rage and would make a great outfit of the day for any chic, fashion-forward trendsetter.

When I wasn't walking the North Hall being amazed by all the fashion, I was spending my time on both the What's Trending: Womenswear panel and the Discovery session. I was able to talk about some stunning trends that you should look out for this season likecontrast collars by Glamorous UK, bold patterns, florals and lace.

But one of the highlights of the day was definitely getting to interview Kristin Cavallari for her shoe collection with Chinese Laundry. Since she's been working with Chinese Laundry for a few years now, she doesn't really have a favorite shoe, but her most fun shoe to design was the first one. For her wedding, she designed the shoe "Love", which she wanted to be minimal but chic so as not to take away from her dress. And now that Kristin is pregnant with her second boy, she finds herself wearing more comfortable flats and wedges, but she'll always be a pumps girl at heart.

So I must say my first day at WWDMAGIC was a total success as it was filled with something amazing to eye everywhere I looked. Keep up with my daily finds and discoveries on Instagram. Until then, time to get ready for day two!
