The first day of WWDMAGIC started off with a bang as they say.  I was excited to be on the first Social Media panel in the morning, where we discussed social media and how brands can better use these platforms to engage with customers and bloggers.  Social Media is such a large part of blogging and connecting with my readers - I'm glad I was able to chat with my fellow bloggers about key strategies that can be used to engage with customers, drive brand awareness, and have fun with the products and services that a brand represents.

Next up, I walked around the show floor to check out the trends for Fall/Winter.  There are so many key trends for the upcoming season, but what stood out to me was two-piece outfits. I love blouse-trouser and blouse-skirt pairings and think they are a wardrobe staple.  I picked out versatile pieces from Gypsy Junkies and Nuvula.  I like two-piece outfits because they can be paired with a sleek blazer for an office appropriate look or sandals for weekend casual.  Plus, each piece can be reworked in so many ways so the outfit has almost endless opportunities

I also stopped by to hear Hal Rubenstein talk about trends and share his picks for Fall/Winter. The key takeaway? He says "Fall is all about putting on, while Spring is for taking off!" Fall is definitely about layering beautiful knits and accessorizing with gloves and scarves.  The runway show featured pieces from the WWDMAGIC and WWDMAGICWHITE floor.
