If you haven’t seen it yet, GO! We were a little skeptical at first too, expecting another Twilight. However, the book to movie adaptation didn’t disappoint and thankfully kept the tween content to a minimum. Don’t believe us? Check out Nylon Magazines film review here. The movie even has a 7.6 rating currently on IMDB (Twilight has a 5.2, Mortal Instruments 6.0, Hunger Games 7.3… Need we say more?). Insurgent, the sequel, is expected to be release next year and we can’t wait!

To Listen: Perpetual Nights by Maxine Ashley

Check out Pharrell’s protégé, Maxine Ashley. We love her individual, quirky attitude and style. She explains her relationship with Pharrell as, “he allows me to be myself as much as possible and he sees the potential of the weirdness in me. He’s like, ‘You're an aries, be effing weird. Be as weird as you are. It's comforting for me to hear this because people are so weirded out by stuff. But he makes me feel comfortable just doing me, making mistakes and moving forward from it.” Ashley is inspired by people with their own personality; including Erykah Badu, Sade, Gwen Stefani, India Arie, and Outkast. Ashley is a breathe of fresh air from her constantly changing hair color to her ability to meld genres. Check out her newest music video posted above.
